Books and Movies I wish I lived.

Have you ever read a book or watched a movie and wished you could live it?? I have, plenty of times. Mainly its romantic scenarios but also some actiony ones. Take the Amazing Spiderman films, I would love to be Gwen Stacey (partly because in the second movie she has some amazing clothes) but also because imagine the views when your swinging from building to  building (holding on tightly to Spiderman.......) So here are a few of the books or films which I wish I could live (but never will)

  • Pirates of the Carribean, Yo Ho Yo Ho A Pirates Life For Me!
  • Avengers Assemble, I so would be Natasha Romanoff and kick some major butt!!
  • Bridget Jones Diary, Give me ten years and that would so be my life!!
  • The Boat that Rocked, A pirate radio station in the middle of the ocean in the swinging Sixties... YES PLEASE!!
  • Peter Pan, I do believe in fairies. I do. I do.
  • Harry Potter, I want to go to Hogwarts!!
  • Any Agatha Christie book, but I want to be the one that solves the murder, give me 50 years and a change of name form and I will be Jane Marple!!
  • The Roman Mysteries Books, I used to love these when I was younger. I just wanted to be in Ancient Rome and solve crimes... and still do if i'm totally honest!
So there you are. A few of the books and films I wish I lived. Even though it will never happen, I have a very mad imagination so i'll see you in the Sixties on a Pirate Radio Boat or in Neverland fighting Captain Hook or even on the Black Pearl with Jack Sparrow!

So till then,
Peace and love dudes, peace and love! :P

Doctor Who...???

In honour of the Series 8 of Doctor Who coming back on screen on the 23rd August (two days before my birthday!!) I will share with you my favourite episodes from the recent series' (Christopher Eccleston to Matt Smith) and some of my favourite quotes.

  • Vincent and the Doctor. One of the reasons I probably like this episode is because its written by Richard Curtis but its just so beautiful. "The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don't always soften the bad things, but vice-versa, the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant."
  • The Crimson Horror. There's just something about Matt Smith's Yorkshire accent..
  • Planet of the Dead. Malcolm.. that is all!
  • The Lodger and Closing Time. JAMES CORDEN!! "Annihilate? No! No violence, do you understand me? Not while I'm around, not today, not ever. I'm the Doctor. The Oncoming Storm. And you basically meant beat them in a football match, didn't you?"
  • End of Time Part 1&2. Worst. Rescue. Ever! Plus I love how it shows what the companions are doing after their travels with the Doctor.
  • The Fires of Pompeii. This episode is not only set in my favourite historical era but also features a future doctor and companion, how awesome it that!!
  • Daleks in Manhattan. SPIDERMAN!!!
  • The Unicorn and the Wasp. Its Agatha Christie!! Plus it has lots of references to titles of Agatha Christie's books. "No, but isn't that a bit weird? Agatha Christie didn't walk around surrounded by murders, not really. I  mean that's like meeting Charles Dickens, and he's surrounded by ghosts, at Christmas"
  • Time Crash. Ok its a Children in Need Special but its pretty funny. "Hey, I'm the Doctor! I can save the universe with a kettle and some string and look at me! I'm wearing a vegetable!"
  • The Doctor's Daughter. Just because Georgia Moffett is Peter Davison's daughter and David Tennant's wife!!
  • Day of the Doctor. There is just so many good moments!!
Plus many more but that enough for now!! Remember...... Bow Ties are cool!!

Would You Like a Jelly Baby??

Disney!!!

'Growing old is mandatory, Growing up is optional' - Walt Disney

I'm not ashamed to admit it, I LOVE DISNEY!!!! There is something about those films I just love, and when I say Disney I mean the Disney Animations. Hopefully I will never grow out of my love for these films, they have many likable characters and can have humour which would appeal to both children and adults.... And I know i'm not the only 19 year old who still wants to watch Disney movies at the Cinema!!

In honour of my long fascination with Disney, here are my favourite Disney movies so far:
  • Peter Pan- Because I want to be like Peter Pan and never grow up!!!
  • Mulan- Everyone wants to dress up as a man, join the army, save Imperial China and fall in love right??? Hmmm just me then.
  • Tangled- There is something about that scene on the lake with the lanterns.
  • Snow White and the Seven Dwarves- Moving aside the creepy scene with the boulder at the end that used to freak me out when I was 5, the rest of the movie is awesome and I've fallen in love with Dopey. Although whenever I hear Whistle While You Work I always think of the Dad's Army version....
  • Frozen- Olaf. Sven. Need I say more??
  • Robin Hood- Catchy songs and loveable characters. However never watch The Jungle Book before or after.. you may notice some similarities..
  • Jungle Book- The vultures which are supposed to be The Beatles, I Wan'na Be Like You and Baloo the Bear. End of.
  • Dumbo- If you ignore the weird scene where Dumbo gets drunk and sees Pink Elephants the rest of the film is quite good.
So there you have it... there are probably other films which aren't released yet that I will end up loving and ones I haven't put on my list. If you think there is some missing comment below and tell me your favourites!!

You've got to love Dopey!!!!
