Dear Sarah, The One With the Doctor Who Quotes

In your last blog post you challenged me to list my favourite Doctor Who episodes (Challenge Accepted!!) but there is one slight flaw in that plan....Last year I already did that!! (see that blog post here!) So i've decided to list my favourite Doctor Who quotes. And granted some will overlap with some quotes i've used on the other post but hey, this wasn't thought through very well!!

So in true Doctor Who style... GERONIMO!!!

  • Hey, I'm the Doctor! I can save the universe with a kettle and some sting and look at me! I'm wearing a vegetable! (Time Crash)
  • Books! The best weapons in the world! (Tooth and Claw)
  • Donna: Agatha Christie didn't walk around surrounded by murders, not really. I mean that's like meeting Charles Dickens, and he's surrounded by ghosts, at Christmas. The Doctor: Well.... Donna: Oh come on! It's not like we could drive across country and find Enid Blyton having Tea with Noddy. Could we? Noddy's not real. Is he? Tell me there's no Noddy! The Doctor: There's no Noddy!
  • Don't blink. Blink and you're dead. They are fast. Faster than you can believe. Don't turn your back. Don't look away. And don't blink.(Blink)
  • We're all stories, in the end.... just make it a good one. (The Big Bang)
  • "I'm charging you too! Aiding and abetting!" "Yes, I'll just step inside this police box and arrest myself." (Planet of the Dead)
  • We all change, when you think about it. We're all different people all through our lives. And that's okay, that's good, you've got to keep moving, so long as you remember all the people that you used to be. (The Time of The Doctor)
  • Look at these people. These human beings. Consider their potential. From the day they arrive on the planet, and blinking step into the sun. There is more to see than can ever be seen. More to do than --No, Hold on... Sorry, That's the Lion King. (The Christmas Invasion)
  • People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually, from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly... timey-wimey...stuff. (Blink)
  • Worst. Rescue. Ever! (The End of Time Part 2)
My second favourite quote, from my second favourite ever episode (Robot of Sherwood)

"I have no sword. I don't need a sword. Because I am the Doctor. And this is my spoon! En Garde!!"

And my favourite quote, from my favourite ever episode (Vincent and the Doctor)

"The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don't always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don't always spoil the good things and make them unimportant."

I have probably forgotten some but hey ho!! And so until next time,

Allons-y Alonso!!!

And how can you not love that face!!!!

My Favourite Fictional Characters

Over the years I have read a lot of books and probably watched even more films and TV Shows. Therefore I have developed a long list of favourite Fictional Characters so I've decided to share some of them with you and why I love them so much.

BENEDICT!!!
  • Sherlock Holmes, The Benedict Cumberbatch version... because.... *sighs* Benedict........
  • Hercule Poirot, There is something intriguing about the little egg shaped headed Belgian who solves crimes, has OCD and has a rather magnificent moustache.
  • Miss Marple, She would be that Granny that everyone loves and would also always have Tea and Cake ready. (Can you tell I like Agatha Christie??)
  • Bridget Jones, She is just amazing
  • Loki, He is just phowar!!!!!!
  • Olaf from Frozen, because he doesn't have a skull.... or bones
  • The Doctor, He can time travel and has a tardis... what not to love.
  • Barney Stinston, because he's Legend... wait for it and I hope your not lactose intolerant because the second word is dairy!
  • Joey Tribbani, He is just awesome!!
  • All of the History Boys, just because!
  • Cadfael, He's a crime solving medieval monk!!
  • Captain Jack Sparrow, He's a Pirate!! and hilariously funny!

Dear Sarah, The One Where I'm Listening to Disney.

Dear Sarah,

Only some of my Snapchats are amusing?? I'm disappointed I thought my fake moustache was a masterpiece and who can resist cute Pierre?? (Everyone else who reads this is going to be very confused!) I'll have to up my game then!!

Doctor Who was AMAZING!! I know Peter Capaldi has only done one episode but he is looking pretty good so far so I reckon I'll quite enjoy his time in the Tardis. I liked all the references to other Doctors and Episodes, especially when he recognised his face (linking the fact that he was in the Fires of Pompeii episode) and that poor dinosaur but hey i'll just have to Let It Go... (get it??)

We seriously need to have a Disney day like really soon otherwise I might go mad!! I've made a Spotify Playlist of some Disney songs and its really making me want to watch the movies! (At the Moment its Once upon a Dream from Sleeping Beauty and now i'm rereading it its Bella Notte From Lady and The Tramp) Is it me or is the soundtrack to Tarzan awesome?? That film is on Netflix so we can watch that on our disney day, and I can bring my Disney DVDs!! Only 1 Month till we go back to Uni!!!! Eek.

I'VE GOT A DREAM, I'VE GOT A DREAM!!!

Basically I wanted to say I really want to watch Disney again and Doctor Who was awesome!! So as per I will leave you with some funny videos which I think you'll like... enjoy!!!

Aren't they cute!!

Doctor Who...???

In honour of the Series 8 of Doctor Who coming back on screen on the 23rd August (two days before my birthday!!) I will share with you my favourite episodes from the recent series' (Christopher Eccleston to Matt Smith) and some of my favourite quotes.

  • Vincent and the Doctor. One of the reasons I probably like this episode is because its written by Richard Curtis but its just so beautiful. "The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don't always soften the bad things, but vice-versa, the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant."
  • The Crimson Horror. There's just something about Matt Smith's Yorkshire accent..
  • Planet of the Dead. Malcolm.. that is all!
  • The Lodger and Closing Time. JAMES CORDEN!! "Annihilate? No! No violence, do you understand me? Not while I'm around, not today, not ever. I'm the Doctor. The Oncoming Storm. And you basically meant beat them in a football match, didn't you?"
  • End of Time Part 1&2. Worst. Rescue. Ever! Plus I love how it shows what the companions are doing after their travels with the Doctor.
  • The Fires of Pompeii. This episode is not only set in my favourite historical era but also features a future doctor and companion, how awesome it that!!
  • Daleks in Manhattan. SPIDERMAN!!!
  • The Unicorn and the Wasp. Its Agatha Christie!! Plus it has lots of references to titles of Agatha Christie's books. "No, but isn't that a bit weird? Agatha Christie didn't walk around surrounded by murders, not really. I  mean that's like meeting Charles Dickens, and he's surrounded by ghosts, at Christmas"
  • Time Crash. Ok its a Children in Need Special but its pretty funny. "Hey, I'm the Doctor! I can save the universe with a kettle and some string and look at me! I'm wearing a vegetable!"
  • The Doctor's Daughter. Just because Georgia Moffett is Peter Davison's daughter and David Tennant's wife!!
  • Day of the Doctor. There is just so many good moments!!
Plus many more but that enough for now!! Remember...... Bow Ties are cool!!

Would You Like a Jelly Baby??
